A new study has found that two and a half hours of physical exercise a week can be important for weight loss.

The research, published in the journal JAMA Network Open, will review past clinical trials that looked at the weight-loss effects of exercise.
The study found that about 30 minutes of exercise per week was associated with only modest weight loss.
However, more than 150 minutes of aerobic exercise (moderate or vigorous) per week was more effective in weight loss.
Aerobic exercise is a type of physical activity that increases a person’s heart rate for a specified period of time and causes them to sweat.
